Nov 4, 2009 - The Pigskin Hooligans handily won the rematch the day afterwards vs. Shake N' Bake, 49-28. The Hooligans did get some unfortunate news - captain Mike Russell was given doctor's orders to stay home from school due to the prevalence of swine flu in the community, until he could receive the vaccine. As such, this effectively ended his season. But the team fought hard in his absence, with Zach Johnston and Erik Mendoza splitting the reps at QB. Max Joseph had a great offensive day with 6 receptions and 3 TDs, as did Zane Johnston with 5 receptions and 2 TDs to go along with 4 sacks defensively. Shake N' Bake used 4 different QBs, with Cliff Buttermore taking the majority of the reps going 10-15 passing. Ricky Genson had their best offensive day, recording 5 receptions for 2 TDs, and Emily Hans scored a TD on her only reception. Both teams went 20-31 passing overall, but the Hooligans scored 7 touchdowns while Shake N' Bake managed 4. The victory brought the Hooligans to 8-2 to conclude the regular season, clinching the #1 spot in the playoffs and a first-round bye.
