Thu, Dec 8 - The Pigskin Hooligans advanced to the championship game for the second time in franchise history by receiving yet another forfeit win, this time over Falcons N' Stuff in the Mac division final. A last-minute scheduling issue prevented Falcons from being able to appear for the day. Word of the forfeit was received well ahead of game time, so no Hooligans had to be present to "collect" the win. The victory also officially makes the Hooligans a winning franchise all-time, bringing the team's overall record to 26-25-1 and 6-1-1 on the season.
The Hooligans will now play a rematch with Dream Team Plus Krysiak in the championship game tomorrow (Friday) at 4:00pm. Dream Team comes in with an 8-0 record on the year, handily winning all of their games and living up to their billing as the preseason favorites. The last time these two teams met Dream Team pulled away after a close first half to win 49-19. But while the Hooligans come in as somewhat of an underdog, they have clicked as a team in the weeks following that game. In the 50th Game Classic against Falcons N' Stuff the team put up 79 points in an offensive explosion. Both teams have not actually played a real game for weeks due to the multitude of forfeit games, so it's possible there may be some rust to shake off for either side. It will be a competitive game and the Hooligans have an excellent shot to win the first title in franchise history. It all comes down to this! ROLL HOOLIGANS!
