Sun, Dec 8 - All across the NFL, games were played in snowy conditions. The Hooligans' championship game with BDB was no different, as the two teams played a thrilling back-and-forth contest on a snow-covered field. The game featured several lead changes and went right down to the wire, but in the end BDB would emerge victorious 62-57 to complete a 5-0 undefeated season. Tyler Holloway was the hero for his team catching the game-winning TD with around 20 seconds to go in the game. BDB began the game on offense and drove quickly down the field with Brad Kindred connecting with Jeremy Maas for a touchdown. The Hooligans responded with a solid drive picking up the first down, but Zac Hyatt came out of nowhere with a great interception on a pass intended for Bre Taylor in the endzone. The Hooligans' defense nearly forced a 4-and-out, but Tyler Holloway made a critical 4th down catch for BDB that set up a Zac Hyatt TD catch to open up a 12-0 lead. Zach Johnston drove the Hooligans back down the field on the next series, and Karlee Schaus made a great fingertip catch to cut the deficit to 12-11 after Johnston rushed for a 2pt PAT. BDB was forced to convert again on 4th down with Codey Harrison coming up in the clutch, and Jeremy Robinson would haul in a TD pass from Brad Kindred to make the score 20-11. Bre Taylor came up big on the next series with a short catch to knot the game 20-20, but BDB would respond as Scotty Morse hauled in a late touchdown to put BDB up 28-20 at the half. The Hooligans got the ball to start the second half after choosing defense first, and that decision proved wise as Zach Johnston connected again with Bre Taylor to open up a 31-28 lead. Brad Kindred responded by driving BDB down the field and they would score a 9-point touchdown from Jessica Barjaktarovich to reclaim the lead 37-31. Bre Taylor again ran a short pattern and caught a touchdown for the Hooligans, but Jessica Barjaktorvich would once again break free of the defense and find the endzone again to make it 48-40. Zach Johnston found Takari Johnson on a deep pass on the next series, and Takari would use his athleticism and speed to take it the distance for a touchdown. The 2-pt conversion failed, however, and a Zac Hyatt TD catch on the next series put the Hooligans down 56-46 with about 5 minutes left. The Hooligans drove down the field needing a female TD, and Takari Johnson took a short pass and stopped at the 1-yard line which set up a clutch Bre Taylor TD catch on the next play. Justin Litzner made a sensational 2-pt PAT catch to give the Hooligans a 57-56 lead with 1:30 to go in the game. The Hooligans were a defensive stand away from claiming back-to-back titles, captain Mike Russell was fired up, but BDB had other plans. Brad Kindred steadily drove his troops down the field, picking up chunks of yardage and calling timeout with under half a minute to go. With the Hooligans defense mostly on the right side of the field, Brad Kindred looked left and found Tyler Holloway short to take a huge 62-57 lead with about 20 seconds to go. The Hooligans had one last-ditch effort with laterals involving Justin Litzner and Zach Johnston, but the ball ended up out of bounds and BDB would emerge victorious. For the Hooligans, Bre Taylor was sensational tying her own franchise single-game record with another 4 TDs in the game. Zach Johnston had some great quarterback play, finishing with 6 passing TDs and a PAT. For BDB, Brad Kindred overcame his previous wrist injury to return at QB and tossed 8 passing TDs for his squad. Zac Hyatt made an impact with 2 TDs and an interception in the game. Jessica Barjaktarovich showed her elusiveness with 2 TDs in the match. Tyler Holloway was clutch with the game-winning TD along with a crucial early first-down catch on 4th down.
